Active Release Technique (ART):
ART is a treatment that incorporates manipulation of your body’s soft tissue and
movement of a certain area of the body. This can help alleviate problems with muscles,
tendons, ligaments, and nerves.
Graston:
Graston is a form of manual therapy known as a soft-tissue mobilizer that is assisted by
a metal instrument. This method uses these instruments to help massage the area by
gently scraping the muscles.
Rock Tape:
Rock Tape is used to treat sport and non-sport related injuries. The tape microscopically
lifts the skin away from the muscle and fascia below, creating a decompressive effect
for swelling and inflammation to the injured area.
Functional Movement Screening (FMS):
Functional Movement Screening is a pre-participation tool that helps distinguish
compensatory movement patterns and inefficient movement throughout the body. FMS
testing is good for athletes because it can identify an individual’s risk for injury which
can create a decrease in performance in their sport.
